I’m very picky and discerning with restaurants. I’ve been here at least a dozen times and have zero complaints. It’s always phenomenal. Love the andouille sausage biscuits and gravy, salads, BLT, catfish po boy on and on. I used to go to Revival across the street but soon learned why everybody was at the Hen and nobody was at Revival.

I come here every few months and I am never disappointed. The menu offers plenty of options. I've had their veggie scramble and biscuits and gravy most recently. I also appreciate a nice dry cappuccino made correctly. The servers are informative, engaging, and efficient. The plant-themed decor feels homey and light.

Pretty good breakfast. Choices are a nice limited selection. And everything is well prepared. Maybe it needs a little (more) spice.

The French Hen is a lovely little cafe, nestled in a row of shops along Selby Avenue. There is often a wait, yet the wait is worth it, as the food is a real delight, unique and perfect in flavor, texture, and preparation. The French Hen is worth every penny, every minute of waiting.

a fun little spot to grab a nice lunch! we didn’t plan ahead and was told it was about a 20 minute wait, but it was less (which is always great). definitely if you are planning, make a reservation. got the salty sweet pancake and breakfast sandwich. both were delicious! the size of the pancake will definitely have you bringing home leftovers, but the sandwich was sized for just the meal. great vibes and will definitely come back next time we’re in the city!

Delicious little place with some unique breakfast options. I love the quiet and laidback vibe as well as the healthy options. Delicious coffee too. The creole hash was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever eaten. Also add bacon. I don’t know how they make it but it’s divine
